its early in the morning and amidst the banging and the slamming and the breaking of things and dogs barking a moment of quiet has settled over the house and now in her bed elli is singing. soon she will be up and wanting so many things. I've been burdened by many things lately but I am at peace for this one moment and I listen to her singing her little nothing songs knowing that she has busy plans for the day. Her animals are all piled in a box that will be a train today.
God's mercies are new every morning and he's singing over me so perhaps I should relax a bit and sing some little nothing songs of my own today.
