I LOVED IT! Well, of course I did! Because I love Jane Austen. I was a bit concerned about reading this one since I wasn't sure of the happily ever after ... but yes indeed it was there! and I am so happy! I needed a happily ever after and there it was! I saw bits and pieces of the special on PBS last sunday (they are running the complete Jane Austen from now through March) Of course the book was ten million times better than the total of 10 minutes worth of show that I saw in between cleaning up and running around with Elli and giving her a bath and getting her to bed. But no matter because as far as I have ever been able to tell the book is always (always? YES) better.
